Some people become part of your life in ways you don’t really notice until something changes.
Ethan was one of those people for me.
Over the years, we shared a lot of good moments, and some difficult ones too. We spent time together outside of work, talked about things that had nothing to do with companies or projects, and built a friendship that became an important part of my life.
He also had an impact on Yavqo. I’m grateful for the time, energy, and perspective he brought with him, and for the role he played during an important period of the company.
One of the memories I’ll probably keep for a long time is golfing with Ethan and his family. It wasn’t anything particularly extraordinary. It was just one of those simple days that ends up meaning more later.
Now Ethan is moving to another country, and with that, our lives are going in different directions. We’ve decided to end our contact as well.
I won’t share the private conversations we had around that decision. Some things should stay between the people involved.
Of course, it’s sad to see a close friendship come to an end. But I also think part of growing up is accepting that not everyone who becomes important to you is meant to stay in your life forever.
I’m grateful for the good times, the difficult ones, and everything I learned along the way.
Thank you for being part of the journey, Ethan.
I genuinely wish you the best for whatever comes next.
